Hi everybody, it’s me Cooper! I hope all of you are having as great of a summer as I am. Since my last blog, my allergies are all better and I have been on vacation or as my mom says we had a ”staycation”. We had a whole week off from work. Now, I’ve always told everyone how much I love to go to work, but this was nice. I can’t wait to tell you about all the fun that I had.
Cooper loved playing soccer in the back yard during his "staycation" last week.
First, I slept in every day. No alarm clocks! My mom is not a morning person, so she has 3 alarm clocks that go off every morning on work days. After I woke up, it was playtime. I started with a game of soccer, and then my mom would throw my tennis balls for a while. After a good hour of playtime then it was time for breakfast and maybe a nap. You can easily see why this was the best vacation ever!
Now don’t get me wrong it was not all fun and games on my vacation. I had to help my mom plant flowers and put mulch in the flower beds. She said I was a great helper. I really don’t think that she would have gotten anything done had it not been for my help. I reminded her to water the new flowers every night. Of course, I really only reminded her so I could play in the water hose, but she didn’t know that. There is just nothing better on a hot day than playing in the water hose.
I also got to go shopping several times. I went to the paint store which was fun. We also went to Home Depot and Lowes. The people at all these stores were really nice and seemed super happy to meet me. Mom made a point to show me the PetSafe product displays at both Home Depot and Lowe's. I love that our products are everywhere!
My Grandpa came to our house almost every day to work on a project for my mom, and I was his helper. Wherever Grandpa went, I went. We screened in our breezeway. Again, I’m not sure that grandpa would have gotten anything done without me. I learned about saws and hammers and drills and paint. Did you know that some paint looks like ice cream? My mom said I couldn’t eat it, but that didn’t stop me from dipping my paws in to make a good mess! Ha!
Mom got me some sprinkler toys to play in, I didn’t see how they were fun to play in, but they made great water fountains, not as good as the PetSafe fountains, but still fun. I got some new pogo splash toys to play with outside too. Those are great. Grass doesn’t stick to them and they are fun in or out of the water.
Most nights we would sit on the breezeway that I helped to screen in and have just a little ice cream. After all, it was my vacation!! I hope all of you have as great a summer vacation as I am, and remember, you can have as much fun in your own backyard as anywhere else in the world as long as you are with the people you love!
